2008 Total Release Training Power 3
Total Release Training is one of the many tools we use to create mentally and physically strong athletes.  The TRT theory rests on the fact that when individuals invest time and energy into a common team goal, the team becomes stronger and will work together on the field of play.

Guidelines & Expectations
Athletes are expected to complete 4 full body workouts per week
Workouts can be completed most anywhere (class, after school, health club)
You must keep a record of all your workouts using the TRT Journal
It's important that you training with at least one of your teammates
Athletes are expected to attend special TRT Power 3 Strong Man Events

Program Basics
TRT Power 3 utilizes three core strength lifts – bench, squat, and high pull. This program is designed for you to perform full body workouts three days per week. Strengthen your Power 3 workout by adding core/auxiliary lifts or plyos on off-days. You can perform the Power 3 two days back to back – but never 3 days in a row. Correct lifting form is priority over lifting heavy weights.

Evaluation
An athlete’s commitment, effort, and athletic strength will play into the coaching staff’s evaluation of an athlete’s ability to play football. These factors will also play a part in the selection of players for the varsity and junior varsity teams. Playing position, playing time, and playing depth will be determined by the coaching staff using TRT as one of the key evaluation ingredients.
